Addison was born in Charlottesville and grew up in Woodberry Forest, VA. He graduated from St. Anne’s-Belfield in 2001 and went Vanderbilt University where he majored in Human and Organizational Development and minored in Film Studies. He moved to California with his future wife Willa and lived in Los Angeles. Addison worked for Jeld-Wen, Inc. before enrolling in Vermont Law School. Addison earned a J.D., cum laude, and a Masters in Environmental Law Policy, magna cum laude.
Addison and Willa returned to Charlottesville after law school. He was admitted to the Virginia Bar and spent two years at a law firm as a trial attorney. In 2014 he decided to parter with Ty and they began this firm to practice in property, real estate, land use law and criminal defense. When not serving his client he enjoys playing squash, rooting for Vandy and UVA, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tyler Grisham – “Ty” – is a long time resident of the Charlottesville Albelmarle area. Originally from Mississippi, he moved to Charlottesville, Virginia in the summer of 1994. Ty attended St. Anne’s Belfield School from 1994 to 2001. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 2005 with a major in psychology. Ty was a member of the UVA baseball team from 2001 to 2004. He attended law school at the University of Mississippi and received his Juris Doctor in the spring of 2009.
Ty’s practice primarily involves criminal defense, but he also practices personal injury, domestic relations law, and real estate. He lives in Charlottesville, and is a member of both the Charlottesville-Albelmarle Bar Association and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
